The 28th Annual Lamar Days Rod Run Started out at the Sonic Drive In to the Music of Van Jeffries. The Lamar Volunteers Fire Department, Auxiliary and support from Lamar Police Department, Colorado State Patrol. & Prowers County Sheriff Department for traffic control for the “No Booze Cruize” Poker Run with the Cops Friday Night was a success. Just under 200 vehicles showed up for the festivities. Everyone enjoyed visiting with one and another and eating at the Sonic. Big Thanks to The Sonic for letting us have it at their place!!
Shane Spangler Won with a Straight Flush King High. $930.00 was 1/2 of the pot he won, donating back $400.00 to the Fire Works Fund.
Bill Kisamore won the 50/50 drawing, winning $210.00 and donating it all back to the Fire Works Fund.
The Fire Department reports that they raised $1795.00 for the Fire Works Fund.
28th Annual Lamar Days Rod Run started at 8 am with wonderful weather and participation with 131 Cars Registered and 18 Motorcycles registered.
